I tried my first yoga class in college, and was immediately drawn to it so I started practicing whenever I could find time. As life went on, I met the love of my life, got married, and had a baby — and stopped finding time...for nearly five years. In that time, my health took a nosedive. I found myself in a slump and watched as my happy demeanor give way to a pessimistic attitude. So when I received a yoga package as a gift, it took me months to make it to class. Misery can be a tough cycle to break. However when I finally returned to practice, I fell in love all over again.
I began cultivating the connection between movement and breath and found that it quieted my overactive mind and allowed me to find some peace from all the negativity I was feeling. Yoga restored balance in my life.
A few years after my return to practice, I completed my 200hr training at Yoga Harmony. I am so grateful to Nicole Cyrille and Cortni Saunders for their guidance, support and knowledge. My classes are lighthearted and playful. I try not to take myself too seriously...after all yoga should be fun! I leave each class with a smile and I hope you do as well.
